- About these Terms
- The following terms of use (the "Terms of Use") apply to your use of all pages on the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy ("SC") website at www.Qatar2022.qa (the "Website").
- These Terms of Use are in addition to other applicable notices, guidelines and rules that may have been communicated by SC to you. SC may also publish additional notices, guidelines and/or rules on the Website. In addition, information about how SC processes and uses your personal data can be found in the SC Privacy Policy at: https://www.qatar2022.qa/en/privacy; and information regarding the use of cookies on the Website can be found in SC’s Cookies Policy at: https://www.qatar2022.qa/en/cookie-policy.
- Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By using the Website, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing your use of the Website.
- These Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with Qatari law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar, provided that SC may also take action to enforce these terms in any other applicable jurisdiction.
- SC may revise any part of these Terms of Use or any other notices, guidelines and rules otherwise incorporated by reference to these Terms of Use at any time. SC will notify you of a change when you next log in. Such change will be binding when you accept the terms on your next log in.
- These Terms of Use have been drafted in the English language. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and any translated version of the Terms of Use, the English version shall prevail.
- SC’s liability to you in relation to use of the Website
- SC provides the content on the Website in good faith but gives no warranty or representation that the content is accurate, complete or up-to-date. SC accepts no responsibility or liability for your use of content on the Website and such use is entirely at your own risk. While we take reasonable precautions to prevent the existence of computer viruses and/or other malicious programs on the Website, SC accepts no liability for them. SC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if SC has been advised of the possibility of such damages) as a result of:
- the use or the inability to use the Website;
- any failure or delay in saving or submitting Hayya/ Hayya card application data through the Website;
- unauthorised access to the Website;
- the conduct of any third party on the Website; or
- any other matter relating to the Website.
- This Website may contain links to other websites. SC accepts no responsibility or liability for any material supplied by or contained on such third-party websites or any use of personal data by such third party.
- Nothing in these Terms of Use shall limit our liability for anything that we cannot limit our liability for under Qatari law.
- SC provides the content on the Website in good faith but gives no warranty or representation that the content is accurate, complete or up-to-date. SC accepts no responsibility or liability for your use of content on the Website and such use is entirely at your own risk. While we take reasonable precautions to prevent the existence of computer viruses and/or other malicious programs on the Website, SC accepts no liability for them. SC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if SC has been advised of the possibility of such damages) as a result of:
- Accessing the Website
- Access to the Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and SC reserves the right to withdraw or amend access to the Website without notice. From time to time, SC may restrict access to some parts of the Website, or the entire Website.
- Certain features of the Website require that you create an account or otherwise interact with the Website. Where you choose, or are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other information as part of SC security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under such account if you allow such information to be compromised. SC shall have the right to disable or reset any user identification code or password at any time (at its sole discretion).
- You shall immediately notify SC if you become aware of or suspect any unauthorised use of your account, a breach of these Terms of Use and/or any other breach of security, and provide the following information:
- the identity of the infringing party;
- the nature of the infringing activity;
- the location of the infringing activity;
- the date that such infringing activity was discovered; and
- any other information as may be requested by SC.
- Acceptable use
- You may only use the Website for non-commercial and lawful purposes. You shall not use the Website:
- in any way that would cause you or us to be in breach of any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
- in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
- for the purpose of harming or attempting to harm minors in any way;
- in any way that could negatively impact the operation or functioning of the Website;
- to knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware; or
- attempt to do any of the foregoing or encourage or induce anyone else to engage in any prohibited uses of the Website.
- You also agree:
- not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of the Website in contravention of the provisions of the Terms of Use;
- not to circumvent any authentication or security systems or processes on or relating to the Website; and
- not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt any part of the Website; any equipment or network on which the Website is stored; or any software used in the provision of the Website.
- You may only use the Website for non-commercial and lawful purposes. You shall not use the Website:
- Use of Permitted Materials and Ownership of Intellectual Property
- The Website contains information, text, articles, data, images, screens, sounds, badges, web pages, logos, internet domain names, market information and other materials (collectively, Materials) that are owned, licensed to, or otherwise provided by (i) SC; or (ii) third parties working with SC. All intellectual property in all software and content made available to you on or through the Website, including all drawings, know-how, designs, specifications, inventions, devices, developments, processes, software, copyrights, trademarks, patents and applications therefore, will remain the property of SC or its licensors (as applicable). Except as described in paragraph 5.2 below, the Materials may not be copied, displayed, distributed, downloaded, licensed, modified, published, reposted, reproduced, reused, sold, transmitted, or used to create derivative works.

- You acknowledge that the official SC name in any language, and any other mark, design, slogan, emblem, title, name, logo, mascot, poster, designation, symbols, identifying music or sounds, other artistic or orthographic representations or other identification or symbol developed by SC or selected by SC for use in connection with SC, the Website or any event organised by SC including all goodwill attached thereto are owned by SC absolutely and should not be used without the written approval of SC.
- Content standards
- Confidential or proprietary information should not be sent to the Website. By sending to our Website any remarks, ideas, concepts, knowhow, graphics, techniques or information of any kind, you grant SC an unrestricted, non-exclusive, irrevocable and royalty free licence to use, reproduce, modify and distribute the same for any purpose.
- You are responsible for submissions you make (“Submissions”), and you, not the SC, have full responsibility for such content, including its legality, reliability, accuracy, and appropriateness.
- You must comply with the spirit as well as the letter of the following standards. The standards apply to each part of any Submission as well as to its whole. Submissions must:
- comprise information that is true, accurate and not-misleading;
- be genuinely held (where they state opinions); and
- be made only by or in respect of individuals over the age of 16;
- be submitted for the purpose for which the Website was intended;
- comply with applicable law in the State of Qatar and in any country from which they are posted.
- Submissions must not:
- disclose personal information of persons who have not consented to such disclosure;
- contain sensitive personal information (such as ethnicity, religion or biometric information), except where explicitly requested by the Website;
- involve commercial activities or sales, other sales promotions, or advertising;
- contain any material which is defamatory of any person or which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
- promote sexually explicit material, violence or any illegal act;
- promote any sort of discrimination including, but not limited to, discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
- be threatening, or cause annoyance, inconvenience, needless anxiety, harassment or alarm;
- infringe any intellectual property or other rights of any other person; and/or
- be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.
- SC has the right, but not the duty, in its sole discretion to:
- remove or refuse to accept any Submissions for any or no reason;
- take any action with respect to any Submission that SC deems necessary or appropriate in its sole discretion, including if SC believes that such Submission violates the Terms of Use, infringes any intellectual property right or other right of any person or entity, threatens the personal safety of users of the Website or the public, or could create liability for the SC; and/or
- disclose your identity or other information about you to any third party who claims that material posted by you violates their rights, including their intellectual property rights or their right to privacy.
- Representatives
- Where you submitting information on behalf of other people through this Website, you agree that you are responsible for ensuring that:
- you are validly authorised by those people to act as their representative;
- you have obtained those persons’ consent to the submission of their information through this Website;
- you have made those people aware of these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the Cookies Notice and other notices, guidelines and rules described in paragraph 1.2; and
- you warrant that those people will comply with the notices, guidelines and rules described in the paragraph above.
- Where you submitting information on behalf of other people through this Website, you agree that you are responsible for ensuring that:
- Breaching the Terms of Use
- SC will determine, in its sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of the Terms of Use through your use of the Website. In the event that SC determines there has been a breach, it may take such action as it deems appropriate, including but not limited to:
- terminating your access rights to the Website and blocking you from submitting any future applications;
- taking appropriate legal action, including referral to law enforcement for any illegal or unauthorised use of the Website; and/or
- taking any other steps that it considers necessary.
- SC will determine, in its sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of the Terms of Use through your use of the Website. In the event that SC determines there has been a breach, it may take such action as it deems appropriate, including but not limited to:
- Indemnity
- You agree that you shall indemnify and hold harmless SC, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, members, agents, partners and licensees from any and all claims, liabilities, cost or expenses, arising from any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, penalties, fines, costs and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable legal fees, that may arise in connection with (i) your use of the Website; (ii) your breach of these Terms of Use; (iii) SC’s publication, distribution or use of any materials provided by you; (iv) any claim by a third party that any content provided by you to the Website or any other use of the Website by you infringes any intellectual property, other proprietary or privacy right of such third party or has otherwise caused damage to a third party.
- Any failure by SC to exercise or enforce any rights under these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision and SC shall continue to have such rights to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the extent any provisions under these Terms of Use is found to be invalid, you and SC agree that the intentions of SC, as reflected in such provision, shall be given effect to the fullest extent possible under applicable law and that other provisions of these Terms of Use remain in full force and effect.
