Developing partnerships with local communities and the cultural sector
The FIFA World Cup 2022™ wasn’t just about the football – it’s also been about benefitting and engaging with Qatar’s communities.
Our aim has been to provide a unique and rich experience for everyone in Qatar – whether they’re a citizen, a resident or a visitor. We are showing the world the wonders of local, Arab and Islamic culture. Our work is celebrating the cultural diversity of the local community.
To achieve this goal, we have developed partnerships with local communities and the cultural sector that have assisted us with the planning and successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, as well as other tournaments and events.
The first FIFA World Cup™ in the Middle East is inspiring a generation.
At the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, we live and breathe football, and we know the passion that people in Qatar and the region have for the beautiful game.
Every football stadium needs a distinct identity, and needs to inspire the fans – and players – who visit.
Nobody knows barriers to accessibility as well as those who come up against them in their daily lives.
Community Grant Scheme
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) recognises how important it is for the local communities around each of the FIFA World Cup 2022™ stadiums to benefit, both socially and culturally, from the amazing projects taking place… for generations to come.
FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Volunteers
We would like to extend a big thank you to our volunteers that have been the heartbeat of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
