The first FIFA World Cup™ in the Middle East is inspiring a generation.
Young people in Qatar witnessed history being made, with the landscapes and the infrastructure around them transformed as the country welcomed the world's football fans and its finest players.

We wanted the youth of Qatar to be inspired by this colossal achievement, which proudly incorporated regional culture. So, we worked with schools across the nation to build awareness and excitement ahead of this historic tournament.
We told schoolchildren that this was their tournament and gave them invaluable opportunities – such as the Youth Panel – to become deeply involved in it, enjoying unique experiences and gaining priceless skills.
Our educators' toolkit – Tamreen, which is Arabic for exercise, is an online educational programme available to all schools in Qatar, and accessible to users all around the world. The programme was developed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Education to provide resources for teachers, parents and coaches, focusing on the preparations for, and legacy of, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
In 2022, Tamreen launched four creative competitions to engage students in Qatar in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup™. Over 300 students entered the competition, and 12 won prizes.

Launched in March 2019, the programme used the excitement around the tournament to inspire young people to develop core educational skills in areas including mathematics, science, social studies, geography, history, citizenship, art, Arabic, English, science, technology, design and physical education.
The Tamreen online platform has provided educational resources such as videos, games, quizzes, and toolkits to help students aged 8-18 develop skills in core areas – all aligned to the national curriculum. Through the platform, students have been able to gain an understanding of the SC’s development goals and the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ through fun and flexible lesson plans.
