The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy conducts regular community outreach work to make people aware of the many economic, sustainability, political, social and even health benefits the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ will bring.

To achieve a truly worthwhile legacy though, our planning for the tournament has to be relevant to those who will reap its rewards.

This is where you come in.

We need your views, ideas and concerns about the tournament and its legacy. So we hold meetings with local community groups and organize roadshows to inform people of the progress that the SC is making. We even offer expert-led workshops so that people can take practical skills back to their communities.

We have signed memorandum of understanding with 53 local communities in Qatar, committing to regularly involve them in our plans and to train their leaders to become more effective. We have further nurtured our links with them by organizing or supporting community events. And we offer a community grant scheme to enable people to develop their own neighborhoods.

Of course, as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ edges closer, we will be looking to local communities in Qatar to provide skilled and enthusiastic volunteers who can make the country proud.
