Raising awareness of Qatar 2022™ and its legacy through different activities
Our fun-filled roadshow events are always popular. People are keen to enjoy the family-friendly activities, get the latest news about FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ preparations and, crucially, contribute their ideas and opinions.
The first batch of roadshow events in late 2015 reached more than 30,000 people, significantly raising local awareness of the tournament and what its legacy will mean for their families and neighborhoods. These events also introduced many people to the ways they can become involved in the Middle East's first FIFA World Cup™, detailing our community engagement projects.
To better understand what local communities want from our venues after 2022, we conducted questionnaires, held quizzes and organized games during the roadshow. This data was then turned into a report that we are using to shape the future of our stadiums.
Of course, the five-stop roadshow also built up considerable excitement among attendees, treating them to giveaways, football skills demonstrations and glimpses of the spectacular stadiums that will rise up on their doorstep.
In 2018, we will once again be taking the FIFA World Cup 2022™ to the people, so watch this space for details…
