The official opening ceremony will be held on Sunday 17 June. Starting at 5:00 PM, the dazzling launch will feature aerial artists, live bands and a special performance from Fahad Al Kubaisi, one of Qatar's favourite artists. In addition, fans will be able to enjoy three matches on Sunday, starting with Costa Rica vs Serbia at 3:00 PM. After the opening ceremony, defending champions Germany will take on Mexico at 6:00 PM, followed by Brazil vs Switzerland at 9:00 PM.

Qatar Fan Zone is organised and delivered by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the organisation responsible for delivering the infrastructure required for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and Qatar Tourism Authority. The fan zone is made possible thanks to its official telecommunications partner, Vodafone Qatar, and the official hospitality partner, W Doha Hotel and Residences.
