Our Generation Amazing youth advocates are truly admirable people. They’re deeply passionate about football for development and using it to achieve and inspire social progress.
By 2022, Generation Amazing will have trained more than 100 youth advocates. In turn, these advocates will pass on what they’ve learned and help thousands more to change lives – their own and those of others.
Training our talented youth advocates doesn’t just give them vital skills; it also includes events to broaden their horizons, such as youth festivals and international football tournaments. And it gives them the ability to pass Generation Amazing values on to other young people.
What do they learn?
As many as 80% of people taking part in Generation Amazing have improved their leadership skills. It all starts on the pitch, with effective leadership-enhancing techniques, which build up confidence and make them feel comfortable in leadership roles.
Advocates learn how to share their experiences with their peers and also how to inspire others to come up with ideas. As a result, important new approaches to social challenges are being formed by those who know them best.
Youth advocates are learning to use their life-changing experiences to promote football for development – and give others the same opportunities they’ve had.
