In November 2016, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) signed a cooperation agreement with BWI to conduct joint health & safety inspections on SC projects. A joint working group was formed to manage and coordinate the inspections and reporting obligations, and achieve the aims of the agreement.

We partnered with Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar in 2017 to carry out a nutrition initiative targeting SC workers and the catering supply chain within workers' accommodation and worksites. The purpose of the initiative is to educate and create awareness on the importance of nutrition and active lifestyles, in addition to identifying key health issues amongst our workers.
In 2017, we partnered with QISC to design and carry out training courses to introduce workers to life in Qatar, improve their technical capabilities, enhance job performance and increase productivity and safety.
Verité is a specialist, independent, not-for-profit entity that monitors the application of international labour rights by global organisations. Its expertise lies in identifying and rectifying welfare issues in the supply chains of major organisations.
We partnered with Verité throughout 2015 and 2016 to deliver training sessions that aim to enhance the application and enforcement of our Workers' Welfare Standards. These sessions, attended by our Workers' Welfare team and contractors, examined information gathering, interviewing and auditing management techniques. Verité also supported our appointment of Impactt Ltd. as a third-party monitor.

Like Deloitte, PwC have provided specialist resources to aid our Workers' Welfare audit, inspection and compliance functions as the number of workers on our FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™-related projects continues to increase.
Commercial Bank became Qatar's first private bank in 1975. As a full service bank, it offers a complete range of corporate, retail and investment banking services. Its countrywide network includes 29 branches and 177 ATMs. It is dedicated to supporting Qatar's community and social infrastructure through corporate social responsibility projects and sponsorship of various events. Title sponsorship of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters golf tournament reflects its promotion of excellence in sports and its keen interest in enhancing Qatar's international sporting reputation.
We collaborated with Commercial Bank to help workers use its mobile app for transferring money in a simple, fast and safe way. Commercial Bank officials helped us to train workers who do not have easy access to ATMs or exchange facilities. A dedicated call centre has also been launched to answer any queries related to the app.
The Ministry of Administrative Development Labour & Social Affairs (MoADLSA) was established by Emiri Decree No. 4 of 2013 on the formation of the Council of Ministers. Since its establishment, the MoADLSA has undertaken the responsibility of achieving public objectives of administrative development, labour and employment affairs and social protection of citizens in the State of Qatar. It is considered one of the service- providing ministries that seek to provide services to citizens and foreign residents.
According to Emiri Decree No. 4 of 2016 issued by H.H. The Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the MoADLSA is competent to amend the provisions of Emiri Decree No. 16 of 2014 regarding the functions of the ministries to include supervision upon execution of law organising government human resources, labour law and development of public policy for human resources including workforce nationalisation policy, follow up its execution after approval, study the budget estimates of the first section and study and review organisational structures proposed by government authorities for approval.
It is one of the founding stakeholders of the SC-led Qatar Innovation Community, a collection of national organisations accelerating innovation across Qatar and creating solutions for the FIFA World Cup 2022™ and beyond. To aid such development, Ooredoo have already established initiatives to improve the quality of life for workers using their existing communications infrastructure.
The SC worked with Techniche to conduct a pilot at Lusail Stadium site with its cooling vests, wrist-wraps and cooling towels. Using thermographic cameras, Techniche's team of experts proved that their technology cooled the body temperatures of workers by up to 10C.
Following the success of the pilot, the SC are working with Techniche to distribute the equipment tested to workers on all SC projects, while developing new technologies capable of leaving a legacy for workers around the world.
NAVEX Global, formed in 2012, provides comprehensive ethics and compliance software platforms to companies all over the world.
In 2017, the SC partnered with NAVEX Global to establish a dedicated grievance hotline, allowing workers to lodge complaints with a team of operators, who then transfer complaints to our Workers' Welfare team for action.
