Do I need previous volunteering experience?
No, it is not necessary to have previous volunteering experience. We evaluate applicants on a number of different criteria.
Can I volunteer with a friend or a family member?
You can apply to volunteer at the same event as someone else; however, it is not guaranteed that you will both be selected to become volunteers for that event or, if selected, be assigned the same role and venue.
Will I be paid to volunteer?
Volunteering is a non-paid position. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Volunteer Programme offers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the largest sporting event in the world. You’ll also gain new skills and meet new people from all over the globe. Volunteers at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ will also receive limited edition items, such as uniforms.
Will I receive any kind of certification?
Will it be safe to volunteer?
Am I required to be fully vaccinated to volunteer?
Will I be required to undergo a COVID-19 PCR test to be able to volunteer?

How can I edit the information that I have submitted?
Make sure that you register yourself at https://volunteer.fifa.com/invite/FWC2022. You can edit and update the information that you have submitted in the My Profile tab on the portal homepage when you log in.
What should I do if I am facing issues logging in?
Is the personal data that I provide safe?
Yes, your personal data is stored and maintained in a database in Switzerland or in the European Economic Area (EEA), and in Australia and the country where the LOC is located. The database is operated by FIFA or on FIFA's behalf.
Shifts and training
Will I be able to watch the matches?
The majority of volunteer roles will be located away from the pitch, so it will not be possible to watch the matches during your shifts. Furthermore, as a volunteer, your focus is to support the delivery of the tournament.
